Homemade fried shish chicken
Ingredients
- 150g Shish tawook
- 150g Ready white rice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 0.5 tsp 7 spices
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1 wedge lemon
Method
- Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and Shish tawook pieces to the skillet, cooking for about 6 to 8 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the 7 spices, salt, and black pepper, tossing well with the chicken.
- Add the Ready white rice to the skillet and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until heated through, mixing well with the spiced chicken and garlic.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top just before serving.
Chef’s tip
Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the Shish tawook to get a nice sear on the meat without drying it out.
